Outfits: Two-Faced

After holding out for quite some time...I thought I'd give the "strong shoulders" trend a try! This blazer has been sitting in my closet for awhile due to it's shoulder pads, but I'm thinking it's going to start getting a lot more wear now. My initial instinct was to balance it out with a more voluminous skirt, but I wasn't very happy with the result and opted to pair it with a body-con dress!
Anyway, life is pretty (REALLY) boring. I crave apple juice and dumplings and am REALLLY missing my dogs! Weird.

Outfit: Wing It

Hmm...I really need to figure out how to work the color settings of my camera since it's too bad that the deep chocolate brown of the sweater I'm wearing really didn't show up. Any advice on how to fiddle around with the manual settings on my Canon Powershot? Anyway, lazy days call for high-waisted pants and comfy sweaters (pretty much my immediate go-to), throw on a multi-coloured tweed blazer and brightly colored pumps and it actually looks like I tried with this outfit! Kiddinggg....I did sort of try....although I probably put more effort into creating my winged eyeshadow, ha. Oh yeah...and is it Spring Break yet?

Outfit: Blurred

The boy took these pictures since I didn't think this outfit was really worth taking the 1-minute walk to the sculpture studio where I usually take my outfit pictures (i.e. I'm reallllllly lazy). So I apologize for the blurry quality! Pretty basic outfit...attempted to de-prep-ify this pastel green blazer with chunky accessories and a leather-zip skirt. In other news...I just got an email from my college confirming how my name will be spelled on my diploma and I'm starting to get excited about graduation. Cooking my own food (the cafeteria is making me nauseous) and non-dorm living keep looking better and better!

Outfits: Day-n-Nite

My daytime outfit for doing laundry consisted of a lot of drab colors so I couldn't help but go to the other side of the spectrum for nighttime. Pastel pink and bright orange might be added to my long list of favorited obnoxious color combos! In other news...I'm convinced that I've been hit with 10 different kinds of illness that I'm slowly but surely recovering from (please excuse the slightly open mouth...I'm currently unable to breathe through my nose, ha)...so I'm opting for a movie night with the boy. We're going to see the Wrestler, which I hear Mickey Rourke is pretty awesome in. Hope you're all having more exciting Saturdays! ;)
