Sew sweet.

Happy!!
My sewing machine has been acting quite friendly and here are a couple of the more recent results of such acts of kindness. ;)
I was soon to be attending wedding in Tegus and I insisted on a strapless dress with boning. I wanted it in a cheesy pink because I never went to prom. I had to torture myself with little food so the zipper would close. It did.
I didn't get ONE decent picture of me in the dress, so please ignore the face. :P Hehe, the face did not come out as planned.
The winning compliment of the day?: "Your dress is...ehh...different" Booo.
Next morning, sisters and I hopped on a bus back home.
Before I continue, let me formally introduce you to Diana. I have already talked about her before...Youngest sister, trouble, flaming red hair. I love her with ALL my heart! However, I am SO not kidding on the 'trouble' part...hehehe...
I am trying to beat my sewing instructor's time record for making a skirt...and Diana gets to keep my trials. Here's her favorite. She wore it to school today.
As for me and my recent purchases let me emphasize ONCE more on one word: thrifting! I was going to come up with a (darn good) excuse like "I'm on a budget so I thrift", and I am on a budget but please: I thrift because I LOVE it. period. :P
dress: cheap. cheap!!
La Ceiba is INCREDIBLY HOT right now. Skimpy clothes and the beach are pretty much requirements for summer survival (we have two seasons down here, rainness and summer. and I make words up during both).
So anywayyyy when thrifting, I keep that in mind.
Flowerprint onesie was about Lps. 60.00 (aprox. $3.00) Comfyyyyy

Sewing school is good. Both that and the patient (how long has it been??) wonderful people who comment keep me motivated! I'll be posting other "skirt trials" on my next post!!
I'm off to dinner, mama is calling as usual!!!

xoxo

Fabi

I'm not sure what these pictures inspire me to do other than escape to an orgasmic, fantasy, wonderland...but I love, love, LOVE them nevertheless! Sorry for the sporadic posting. I've been eating teddy grahams in my underwear and skipping class but I promise to make myself decent for you guys, ha.

Outfit, Hello Loverr: Just Because

On Monday the boy and I "celebrated" the anniversary of our first date together, haha. I told him that I didn't want to make a big deal about it since I don't reallyyyy believe in anniversaries...but nevertheless he insisted on taking me out to a nice dinner and got me a little present as well. It's my first piece of jewelry from the big T and I'm glad that he didn't opt for the sterling silver heart charm, ha. I'm in loovee with the multifaceted piece of quartz...definitely inspires me to either tone my outfits down to minimalistic nudes OR go to the other extreme (as shown above) of outrageous prints and colors! Please excuse the dead face and crappy picture. I just took this quickly since the real point of this post was to show off my new jeeweelllss, hehe.

Agyness Deyn splits from Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr.

Agyness Deyn has split from rocker Albert Hammond Jr., according to U.S. reports.

The model and the Strokes guitarist have decided to end their relationship - but apparently want to remain friends.

Manchester-born Agyness, 26, was snapped strolling around Manhattan with a mystery long-haired man over the weekend.

She and Albert, 28, reportedly got engaged last August after they started dating last June.

But a report in New York magazine, which ran a 'Relationship Obituary' for Deyn and Hammond, claims this was never the case.

The magazine reports: 'The relationship passed away recently, according to a source close to the deceased.

'It was less than one year old and, contrary to rumour, had not grown into an engagement.'

It is claimed that they decided to split shortly after appearing together in a Valentine's Day photo shoot for Vogue magazine.

The jokey obituary continues: 'The cause of death [of the relationship] was by mutual agreement and sources say the relationship has been reincarnated as the friendship.'

Former chip shop worker Agyness, real name Laura Hollins, has been hailed as the new Kate Moss by fashionistas.

She previously dated Josh Hubbard of the British band The Paddingtons for four years.

A representative for Deyn was unavailable for comment.

Ohhhh...how I love arctic winds just after mother Nature teased us with a taste of Spring and 50-60 degree weather! I chose to bundle up in my Crush's grey sweater and my much neglected fringed, plaid, cashmere scarf. But underneath I kept it hooker-chic with a white tube dress, ha. I didn't really get to wear this outfit for most of the day since I had to take yet another trip to Boston for yet another interview, ugh. Apparently I've underestimated both the competition for clinical research positions as well as grrreatly overestimated my interview abilities, haha (actuallyyy not funny at all). Looovee to everyone (but that might just be the white wine I've recently gulped down speaking)!! ;)

Outfit: Ghostwriter

Oh what I wouldn't give for just a fewww more days of sweet, sweet, class-free bliss. This is what I wore today for a whole lot of lazing around, interrupted by a short break for coffee. I'm trying to slowly integrate brighter and brighter colors into my outfits before I break out the neon-colored clothing I've been waiting to wear. I have this increddibbllyy obnoxious neon green dress-coat that has been sitting in my closet untouched for far too long. It's possible the greatest, ugliest, color I've ever encountered...does that make any sense? Hope you all had great, lazy Sundays! :)

Theory sweater. Kill City jeans. Marc Jacobs shoes.

Outfit: Cropped

I've been attracted to crop tops and exposed midriffs for quite some time. But really, how often do you see a girl hangin out in a crop top and looking sufficiently classy and put together? This was my attempt...but I don't think it counts since so little skin is actually revealed, haha. I suspect that there will be more attempts with more midriff in the future as the weather gets warmer.
Anyway, my last Spring Break is pretty much over (sighhh), the boy comes back tomorrow (yayyy), and I have leftover sushi, a diet coke, and the American remake of My Sassy Girl waiting for me as soon as I stop typing (yesssss....i expect it to be horrific!)

Secondhand shirt and blazer. American Apparel pants. Forever 21 shoes.
