"I can show you all my wares"

I've been waiting for years to do something with this black crochet collar.  I removed it from an old Hennes (the 'H' in H&M) sweater.  It has added a slightly whimsical/gothic lolita feel to my grey tunic tank.  Perfect for leggings.  I haven't worn pants in months, so dresses, skirts, and leggings are my primary outifit pieces these days.

I bought this tie dyed t-shirt at a thrift store.  Something about it as a big tee just didn't work, so one night I turned it into a tunic length tank dress.

These Nine West shoes are my new love.  I purchased them second hand in a congac color, then spray painted them gold.  I then rubbed them with paint thinner to take away from the total circus vibe.  Now their a little cracked and the deep congac leather shows through.

Cheap Therapy

I love a luxurious splurge once in a while, but nothing is more exciting to me than shopping on a dime.  I've actually been partaking in a bit too much Good Will therapy lately.  In this Volcom video, Jennifer Herrema and blogger Savannah Grace spend a day at the Rose Bowl swap meet.

Look of the Day.119: hat as a fact

We took these pictures last time I was in Sao Paulo down Vila Madalena, the coolest neighbourhood of the amazing brazilian city. I'm currently back in London since 2 hours ago and seems there's a million things to do and catch up with! The past week i've been down in Spain and I literally haven't stopped one second! From weddings in Galicia to presentations in Madrid where I was giving an award at the spanish GQ Awards Ceremony celebrated in the Italian Embassy (yes! what a night) I promise to give and share all the gossip and the pictures!  I was wearing shoes by Uterque, Zara jeans with Pull&Bear jacket and Corello bag. The hat and scarf are vintage from London.

a brief recap of my two-week disappearance with joyful illusion playing non-stop roll over and over in my brain.
the sunny soul gets sprinkled again with deep faith and silent prayers in bali - the island of hindu gods.
the whirlwind power of magic - it's all in the air, the field, the hills, and the sea.
clasping the tiny fingers altogether, i'm letting the beautiful force taking over.

Davidelfin for Iberostar

Tomorrow is a very important day here in Madrid(yes I have been back in Europe for almost a week now)... and we are celebrating that, my dear and talented friend Davidelfin, has designed a unique collection of 15 outfits for the staff of the well known brand Iberostar Hotels & Resorts that will be launched in more than 15 countries worldwide where Iberostar has Hotels. This is an amazing and great opportunity where Davidelfin has kept the sould and its unique feeling in his designs  to create these special and stylish uniforms that the Iberostar staff will be wearing from now on. I had the pleasure to interview David himself and ask him a few question about how the project was developed  and how amazing the whole journey was too, and of course I wanted to share it with my dear readers as I will be tweeting  live during the event held tomorrow here in Madrid, so remeber to follow me on Twitter if you wanna keep tuned and know all the gossip

Weekend in Paris

I was in Paris this past weekend shooting a video (hence the lack of posting), and snapped a few photos while I was there...
Dress by Elie Saab...I love the lace panels underneath the black and purple tulle.
Beautiful flower shop on Rue Montorgueil..
In the suburbs of Paris, wearing a vintage lace skirt from Shareen, J.crew tank, Derek Lam sunglasses, vintage brooches and jewelry, and Donna Karan suede pumps.
Pretty parisian cafes on every corner...
Unhealthy, yet delicious brunch!
Pastries at Ladurée
Wow, Paris is such a beautiful city, can't wait to go back!

Chocolate Brown Accessories

Anything and everything chocolate brown. This Summer I'm having a love affair with accessories that are milk, 70% or dark chocolate in hue. My favorites are my Prada platform sandals, my Brioni braided sandals and my Net-a-Porter + Coach reedition of the Madison Tote.

So, I was relaxing today after buying some new bronzy nail polish.  I turned on Sonisphere Fest, which has been sitting on my DVR for days, and my jaw dropped.  During "Girls, Girls, Girls" I noticed Nikki Sixx's Thunderbird Bass.  I've been playing around on my brother's Yamaha for over a yeah, but I just don't like the thing (sorry bro').  Nikki's beat up bass is so beautiful that it makes me want to put a strain on my credit -- a shiny new bass to be weathered over time and play.  Beautiful.

Freedom of Expression

Haven't been feeling well for almost four days, I guess my body is begging me to take some rest.

Glamour Goes Global

Kelly Framel, the blogger/ jeweler behind the glamourous Glamourai, has released a new collection of pieces with a new look.  I've admired Framel's bejeweld cocktail hour statement-makers and fearless use of stones, now I further admire her versatility in design.  The pieces, released this summer, are fun in a different way.  It's Middle Easts and Egypt-meets-Day of the Dead with colourful skulls, painted elephants, and antique medallions dripping with ankh's and bright crosses.  Framel is one I will continue to watch for her unique eye in the accessory world.  Shop for these pieces here.
